Movenpick Hotels & Resorts zeroes in on Shanghai to launch its first China property. The 300-room hotel, set to open in 2013, marks a series of developments for the country planned by the chain. Its partner in the Movenpick Hotel Shanghai is King Land Real Eastate.
This Movenpick will be located in Jiading district, near the Shanghai International Circuit and close to Kunshan City. It will feature two specialty restaurants, a spa, gym and swimming pool.
Movenpick's other hotels in Asia-Pacific are in Phuket, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with prospective Movenpicks in Sentosa Island, Singapore, Chiangmai, Bangkok, Koh Samui and Bangalore.
