Marriott International Inc. and Destination Properties have mutually agreed to end Marriot’s management of four Courtyard properties in Thailand.
The properties are Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Kamala Beach, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach and Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha Am Beach.
Destination Properties will continue to operate the hotels along with another international management company that has yet to be announced. All existing bookings at the property before and after the handover date will also be honoured.
While Marriott would not comment on the reasons behind the decision, Philip Bryson, area vice president for Marriott in South East Asia said, “We are happy to conclude these discussions with our partner at Destination Properties, and we wish them well with the on-going success of these four hotels. We are excited to continue working with them on other existing projects here in Thailand.”
After the handover, which will take place no later than April 1, Marriott will operate a total of 16 properties in Thailand.
