Jetstar will begin a new daily Melbourne-Singapore-Beijing service from November 24, subject to regulatory approval.
The new service will connect with Jetstar’s existing Melbourne-Singapore service and a stop-over on both legs is possible.
Jetstar Group CEO Bruce Buchanan said: “Beijing represents a critical step in the growth of our brand in China and the continued rollout of our Pan Asian strategy.”
Other cities in China to be added to the airline’s growing network in the last 18 months include Haikou, Shantou, Guilin, Hangzhou and Ningbo.
