Etihad and Hertz enter three-year partnership

Etihad Airways and Hertz car rental have signed a three-year partnership that enables easier booking facilities with both companies, creating seamless connections between air and road travel.
The agreement integrates several technological platforms – Hertz has implemented a microsite and call centre dedicated to Etihad customers, while Etihad customers can make Hertz reservations through the carrier’s website or call centres by clicking on "plan and book".
Etihad and Hertz first signed a partnership in 2008. This enhanced partnership adds on to the benefits of the three-year relationship. A Hertz spokesperson said: "Through the Etihad Guest relationship, guests have been offered 500 Guest Miles for every rental service since this agreement was live in 2008."
Etihad frequent flyers also have access to Hertz’s luxury vehicles and services. Etihad’s Pearl business class members will receive 15 percent discounts when renting any cars within the Hertz Prestige Collection and Diamond first class members will have access to the same benefits as members of the Hertz #1 Club, including further discounts and upgrades on every rental.
To mark the team up, all Etihad passengers renting cars with Hertz before April 30, 2011 can win a five-day package including two return tickets, accommodation at Relais and Chateaux and use of Hertz Prestige Collection cars.
