Dubai Airport launches new mobile app

Dubai Airports has launched a mobile application for Apple and Android devices, enabling users to easily navigate the transport hub.
The app, named myDXB, consists of a directory of the services and facilities at all three terminals and a "smart map" to locate them. While the location based service requires internet or a wifi connection, the listing component of the app was designed to be accessible offline so that users do not need to connect to the airport-wide wifi.
The convenience also provides users with real-time flight status updates along with corresponding gate numbers.
The app is available for free from the Apple Store and the Android Market.
