All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Lufthansa have been granted anti-trust immunity by Japanese authorities for a joint venture agreement on routes between Japan and Europe.
This pact, to be implemented towards the end of this year, follows a similar joint venture with United Continental Holdings for trans-pacific routes (see coverage of this here), strengthening the Japanese carrier’s international network. It will see the co-ordination of schedules for seamless connections and joint sales.
More details, however, have yet to be released.
