Air China has announced it will operate direct flights between Beijing and Copenhagen four-times weekly, commencing June 2, 2012.
The Airbus A330-200 will be used on the service. Flights will depart Beijing on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1455 and arrive at Copenhagen at 1840. The return leg from Copenhagen will leave on the same days at 2100, and arrive in Beijing at 1155 the following day.
This is the second announcement of a new long-haul service by the airline this week. On December 5, the Chinese carrier announced plans to launch a Gatwick-Beijing route (see story here). Last week, the carrier also announced that it will resume direct flights between Shanghai and Paris from March 10 next year (see story here).
The addition of the new Beijing-Copenhagen service brings Air China’s European destinations up to 14.
