Guide to T5: Connectivity
The MCT (minimum connecting time) within T5 will be 60 minutes. For “robustness” says BAA, the MCT between T5 and the other terminals will be a flat two hours. Timings will be relaxed after the summer peak when BAA expects the MCT from T5 to T123 to be cut to 90 minutes, while the transfer from T5 to T4 will be reduced to 110 minutes.
A Flight Connections Centre within T5 will make the bus transfer process to the other terminals as easy as possible. There will be trains (Heathrow Express and Piccadilly line) between T5 and T123 if you want to transfer landside. Luggage will go by road, although there are plans for a baggage tunnel linking T5 with BA’s Oneworld partners in T3.
