Members of Lufthansa’s Miles and More programme will now be able to part-pay for award flights with miles.

The German airline will allow passengers to use their miles to pay for award flights either in part or in full for flights with Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Germanwings and Eurowings.

The rolling launch will begin on November 17, starting in Germany, with Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Italy planned for early 2017.

To use the part-pay option, members must have accrued at least 7,000 award miles. The service can be used in all classes as well as for all flight connections available on the Lufthansa website. Members will continue to collect award and status miles with these bookings too.
