IndiGo will launch daily Chandigarh-Dubai flights from Chandigarh International Airport, September 26 onwards.

Chandigarh International Airport is located in Mohali and was inaugurated last year in September. The airport has been constructed at a cost of ₹1,400 crore and is a joint venture between Airports Authority of India (51 per cent) and the governments of Punjab and Haryana (24.5 per cent each).

“We are very excited about the new launch from Chandigarh to Dubai. Chandigarh has been a promising market for us at IndiGo. We are excited to provide an international connection from Chandigarh which has been a long standing request from the people of the city,” says Aditya Ghosh, president, IndiGo.

The budget-airline, IndiGo has announced an all-inclusive maiden fare of ₹9,999 for this flight.

“This will be the first international commercial flight in the history of Chandigarh Airport. It will boost the economy of the region,” says Sunil Dutt, chief executive officer, Chandigarh airport.
