Etihad Guest has aligned tier benefits across all Etihad Airways Partner airlines.

The move means that Air Berlin, Alitalia, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Etihad Regional, Jet Airways and NIKI are all aligned with Etihad, along with the individual programmes such as Jet Airways’ Jet Privilege.

All eight airlines now allow the earning of Etihad Guest miles across all airlines, along with spending (“burning”) on free flights, cabin class upgrades or gifts from the Etihad reward shop.

Tier benefits have also been aligned so that silver, gold and platinum members have aligned privileges such as priority check-in, priority boarding, lounge access and additional baggage allowance, regardless of the class of travel with any of the partner airlines.

The Etihad Airways Partners are Etihad Airways, Air Berlin, Alitalia, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Etihad Regional, Jet Airways and NIKI.

The move does have negative consequences for some members of Etihad Rewards, however. It seems clear that silver tier members will now not have lounge access at the majority of lounges – in fact only the Al Reem Lounge Abu Dhabi, and lounges at Belgrade and in the Seychelles will still be open for silver tier members.

For more details see this page on Etihad Guest.

The eight airlines fly to more than 400 destinations worldwide and include programmes: Topbonus, Mille Miglia and Jet Privilege.
