An in-flight fight sparked by a series of farts led to a Transavia Airlines jet making an emergency landing at Vienna International Airport, the Mirror reported February 16, 2018.

The Dubai-to-Amsterdam flight on the low-cost airline was diverted when a man continued to pass wind despite pleas from nearby passengers. The florid passenger eventually ended up in a fight with a pair of Dutch men.

Some passengers claimed that the flight crew did little to intervene, although the pilot did warn passengers to calm down prior to diverting the flight to Vienna.

The two men who started the fight, as well as two women seated with them, were escorted off the plane and banned from future Transavia flights. “We had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn’t do anything,” said one of the women, Nora Lacchab. “All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up.”
