Japan Airlines is offering a 1960s-style “JAL Original Happi Coat” this month to travellers flying in first and business class on board its JL044 London Heathrow-Tokyo Haneda service.

Featuring a white and navy blue Japanese motif along with the word kotobuki – meaning “best wishes” – written in Kanji in red on the back, the coat is described by the airline as arguably its “most recognised Happi coat design”.

The coat is available until December 31, 2016 for first class passengers, and will be available on December 24 and 25 for business class travellers (departure dates from London Heathrow).
