Aer Lingus has launched a mobile app designed to improve and personalise the mobile booking and check-in experience.

The app allows passengers to check-in online, search for fares across 170 destinations and create personal and travel companion profiles.

In addition, passengers are able to save payment details for future purchases, retrieve fare summaries and view updates on a flight’s status. Digital boarding passes issued by the app can be saved to Apple’s Wallet app.

Commenting on the app, chief commercial officer Keith Butler said:

“Currently almost half of Aer Lingus guests check-in on our website and we would expect advanced check in numbers will further swell as the new app means every step is simple, speedy and tailored to their needs.”

The app is available to Android and Apple iOS users.
