Tiger Airways’ direct Singapore-Bangalore flights return

8 Jul 2011
Tiger Airways will reintroduce its direct flights from Singapore to Bangalore on October 31, 2011 with ticket sales available from today, July 8. “Bangalore is one of Asia’s fastest growing cosmopolitan cities, and India’s third most populous city. Given its potential as a destination that attracts both business travel and leisure, we are pleased to resume our services to this city,” said Stewart Adams, managing director of Tiger Airways Singapore. The airline is offering a special rate of S$100 (US$81.83), all-inclusive, for tickets booked by July 15. The service will launch with four flights a week - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Bangalore is the fourth destination in India that the airline flies to, following Chennai, Trivandrum and Tiruchirapalli. The Singapore-based budget carrier's Australian counterpart has been in the news lately due to safety issues and has been temporarily banned by authorities from flying (see here). www.tigerairways.com Vicki Williams
