Hyatt has announced its first properties in Pakistan, with four hotels to be located in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

The Grand Hyatt Islamabad is scheduled to open in 2023, and will feature 400 rooms, seven food and beverage outlets, two ballrooms, seven meeting rooms, a spa, fitness facilities.

The hotel will also be the first internationally-branded golf resort in the country, and will be located off the Murree-Islamabad Expressway, around 30 minutes from Islamabad’s city centre and diplomatic area.

Also scheduled to open in 2023, the 200-room Hyatt Regency Karachi will offer an all day-dining restaurant and more than 1,600 sqm of meeting space.

Details of the Hyatt Regency Lahore are limited, but the hotel is scheduled to open in 2021, and will offer “authentic food and beverage offerings that will build off the Hyatt Regency brand’s history of culinary excellence”, as well as a private club with food and beverage outlets, tennis courts and banquet facilities.

Finally Hyatt Regency Rawalpindi is due to open in 2022, and will feature 165 rooms, “multiple food and beverage outlets”, and 1,100 sqm of meeting and events space.

The four properties will be owned by private developer Bahria Town. Commenting on the news Peter Norman, senior vice president, acquisitions and development – Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) and Southwest Asia for Hyatt said:
