Conrad Guangzhou is now open

2 Jun 2017 by Craig Bright

Conrad Hotels and Resorts has opened its seventh hotel in China, the Conrad Guangzhou, in the city’s Zhujiang New Town central business district on the north side of the Pearl River.

The new hotel occupies 27 storeys overlooking the river, which can be seen from many of its 309 rooms and suites. The Guangdong Museum, Canton Tower and the Zaha Hadid-designed Guangzhou Opera House are all located nearby.

“Conrad Guangzhou perfectly reflects the city’s character – rich in tradition and culture, yet stands true to the brand in its smart luxury ethos,” said Conrad global head, John T A Vanderslice.

Rooms begin at 48sqm and feature walk-in wardrobes, Nespresso coffee machines, and shoe dryers, among other amenities. Meanwhile three F&B offerings are available serving Cantonese, international buffet, and Mediterranean cuisine. Afternoon tea is also available at Gem lounge and cocktails at Mg bar.

For corporate travellers, there’s also a 24-hour business centre with secretarial and administrative services, and for downtime guests can use the 25-metre indoor pool, spa or gym.
