Earlier this month, Hyatt opened Hyatt Place Rameswaram, the first under this 4-star brand category in Tamil Nadu and the fifth in India.

Kurt Straub, Hyatt’s vice president of operations, India says, “The opening of Hyatt Place Rameswaram is a significant milestone for the Hyatt Place brand as it continues to expand in India and across the globe. Rameswaram’s first Hyatt Place hotel will be a vibrant and dynamic hotel that combines comfort and style that fits right into the region’s religious tourism.”

The property is located in the heart of Rameswaram, and is within proximity to prominent pilgrim venues in the city.

It offers 101 rooms (28 sqm) and suites (62-70 sqm), each of which include a 42-inch HDTV, “Cozy Corner” sofa, free water bottles, rain shower, tea/coffee making facilities, work desk, iron/ironing board, minibar and free wifi. Suites include a bathtub too.

Amongst its F&B offerings are Gallery Kitchen Breakfast with a South Indian menu as well as select few international specialities, 24/7 Gallery Menu and Market, and a coffee and cocktail bar by the poolside. The Hyatt Place Rameswaram kitchen serves only vegetarian fare.

A 24-hour gym, outdoor swimming pool, 441 sqm of meeting space and free public computers with high speed internet are other facilities on the property.

“The Hyatt Place brand is designed to offer seamless experiences for travellers, and we know that our guests will appreciate the comfortable and functional amenities offered at Hyatt Place Rameswaram,” says Utsa Majumdar, general manager at Hyatt Place Rameswaram.
