The new property in the Land of Smiles adds 587 rooms to the nearby 380-room Novotel. There are 18 storeys offering 475 twin rooms and 112 king rooms, 54 of which will be interconnecting rooms. Each room is equipped with a 32-inch flatscreen LED TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

The hotel is located next to the Impact Muang Thong Thani commercial complex consisting of an arena, convention centre and exhibition halls.

The area will soon welcome the new Metropolitan Rapid Transit Pink Line and is a 30-minute drive from downtown Bangkok. The property is also a 15-minute drive from Don Mueang International Airport or a one-hour drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Leisure options due to arrive soon include a water park, go-kart track, shopping centres, a beach club and marina.

Ibis Bangkok IMPACT Taste Restaurant

Highlights of the hotel include a spacious lobby area and 500-seat Taste Restaurant, offering healthy meal options, local specialities and pastries. A 24-hour Ibis café & bar is available for guests to enjoy drinks or snacks, while the Ibis web corner offers wifi access and a digital jukebox.

Patrick Basset, chief operating officer of Accorhotels, upper southeast and northeast Asia, said: “The city presents international event planners with countless opportunities for unique functions that combine value and flexibility with Thailand’s distinctive culture and hospitality. The new Ibis Bangkok Impact not only puts Asia’s second-largest exhibition and convention venue on our guests’ doorstep, but the entire city at their fingertips, which we believe will attract even more visitors.”
