Having just completed a year-long renovation of all its 169 guestrooms, Como Metropolitan Bangkok is once again fully open for customers.

The refurbishment of the property has seen the addition of walk-in rainforest showers in each of the guestrooms, smart TVs and wireless Bose Soundtouch music systems.

In addition to the rooms, the hotel’s Shambhala Urban Escape wellness centre has added teak decking around its outdoor swimming pool and updated its gym with Life Fitness machines. Hydro pools and steam rooms have also been added to the spa, and those looking to do yoga can join one of five different types of practices offered at the yoga studio.

“In keeping with our sophisticated and loyal guests, we are pleased to have upgraded our hotel to their highest expectations and needs,” said the hotel’s general manager, Kevin Abramowicz. “We look forward to welcoming guests seeking a wellness-oriented approach to cuisine, accommodation and service and are pleased to offer the ‘Wellness à la Carte’ package which reflects our holistic approach towards travel experiences.”

The THB21,500 (US$613) package entails a two-night stay in a Metropolitan Room with breakfast for two. On the wellness side, it also includes three 60-minute private wellness sessions – yoga, pilates and Thai boxing, among others – and two 60-minute treatments at the Shambhala Urban Escape. A cookbook and yoga mat are also included.
