Marriott’s Moxy Hotels brand has opened it latest German property in the capital Berlin.

The hotel is located close to the city’s Ostbahnhof station, and features 210 rooms with 42-inch LCD TVs, free wifi, sound-reducing walls, USB ports, and “fun floor to ceiling art pieces”.

Facilities include a gym with the brand’s signature pink punch bag, the Living Room public space with free wifi, power outlets and USB ports, a 24-hour self-service food and beverage offering, a bar (which also serves as the hotel’s check-in desk), and a meeting room with a table which doubles as a shuffleboard.

As with other Moxy properties the Moxy Berlin features art installations including a lift inspired by a photo booth where guests are encourage to take selfies. The hotel is also running a competition to find new artwork which will be unveiled at its grand opening – more details can be found here.

The property is the sixth under the Moxy brand globally, and the third in Germany, joining Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn and Moxy Munich Airport.

Moxy Aberdeen Airport is due to open by the end of this year, followed by further European properties in London, Oslo and Vienna in 2017.
