Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has signed an agreement to manage a new-build hotel in Hangzhou. The 185-room Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang, which is scheduled to open in Q3 2019, will be the group’s 14th property in China.

The hotel will be located 20km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and be part of the mixed-use Bodi Centre in Qianjiang Century City – home to a growing number of financial services firms and IT companies.

When opened, Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang will offer several dining options including three restaurants and a bar. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool, fully equipped fitness centre and a spa. The property’s meeting facilities will consist of over 1,500 sqm of function space.

Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province in east China, and located approximately 180km from Shanghai. Boasting strong manufacturing and technology industries, the city has seen rapid growth in recent years and now ranks as one of China’s wealthiest cities.

“China’s dynamic landscape has proven to be an essential growth market for Carlson Rezidor with its wealth of development opportunities,” said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Asia Pacific.

“We remain committed to the market as we expand our footprint into a tier one destination that attracts discerning business and leisure travellers.”
